Metermaids – Graveyard Shift (prod. 9th Wonder)

Artwork by Carl Sutton.

With 9th on the boards, the Brooklyn-based duo permit free the 1st single off their approaching SFR debut, Rooftop Shake*, dropping September 6th (pre-order now).

9th Wonder supplies the soulful sonic backdrop for 50 percent of the album and even pokes his head into the vocal booth to make some extremely rare appearances on the mic. DJ Rob Swift basically acts an honorary member of Metermaids, accentuating every track by doing what he does greatest dealing with the cuts and including the stylistic cherry on best. The songs that aren’t created by 9th are handled by M. Stine, the main contributor to the Metermaids’ prior EP attempts which garnered them above 100,000 downloads as properly as the focus of Sage Francis, eventually foremost to their signing on Unusual Famous Data. As head of the label, Francis confidently assures the audience that, “If Invoice Buckner rapped, it definitely wouldn’t sound like this. They need to stop stating stuff like that.”
