Japanese menswear brand UNDERCOVER‘s sub-line JohnUNDERCOVER presents its latest threads in this Spring/Summer 2014 lookbook. Going for a different approach than its preceding debut lineup, the presented garms opt for a rather slim silhouette, and - slightly unusual for a spring/summer collection – an overall much darker and muted color palette, comprising hues of navy, black and grey, as well as earthy tones. Made up of classic no-frills menswear staples with a dash of technical sportswear, the most standout pieces include a black and white hex-pattern jacket, shoes and shorts combo. Look for the JohnUNDERCOVER Spring/Summer 2014 collection to drop at select retailers in the near future.

Levi’s is the premier name in denim and the Levi’s Made & Crafted series builds on their legacy by designing tomorrow’s classics using today’s best materials and techniques. For the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 season, they were inspired by the word “surf” and the phrase, “where the sky and the ocean meet.” Featuring colorful, beach-inspired hues like coral, aqua and sun yellow, the collection uses processes that mimic sun fade effects and treatments that reflect sun, sand and saltwater effects on denim. Furthermore, the season’s offerings use light fabrics and contrast them against a vibrant color palette made up of silver grey, white and shades of indigo.
To capture this season’s theme and show off the collection’s arresting colors and patterns, we placed select pieces against contrasting and complementing colors of all shapes and sizes. The outcome is a distinctly modern take on a vintage beach vibe that shines through key garments like the parka, bomber jacket, tees and trousers.
